D.J. Byrd scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half and Purdue upset No. 17 Wisconsin 69-56 Sunday afternoon. Terone Johnson added 16 points for the Boilermakers (14-15, 7-9 Big Ten), who had lost three straight road games and four of five overall. Purdue took control with a 21-3 run in the second half during which Byrd had nine points and Johnson eight. Jared Berggren scored 13 points and Ryan Evans and Sam Dekker had 10 apiece for the Badgers (20-9, 11-5), who had won six of their previous seven. Byrd hit three 3-pointers and Johnson added four baskets in the decisive 21-3 run as Purdue pulled away, silenced the crowd at Kohl Center and won here for the first time since January 2009. RECAP

Michigan 58, Michigan State 57
After his steal and slam put the Wolverines ahead with 22 seconds left, sophomore guard Trey Burke intercepted a pass on the Spartans' final possession, pushing the University of Michigan men's basketball team (No. 4 AP, No. 4 ESPN/USA Today) past Michigan State (No. 9 AP, No. 10 ESPN/USA Today), 58-57, on Sunday afternoon inside a Maized-Out Crisler Center. U-M prevailed despite not hitting a three-pointer all game and playing the majority of the contest without freshman guard Nik Stauskas, who left in the first half after being elbowed in the head. Burke finished with 21 points, eight assists, five steals and five rebounds. Freshman forward Mitch McGary was the only other Wolverine in double-figure scoring with 11 points. RECAP
