ILLINOIS 8, PENN STATE 6
Illinois scored seven runs in the first three innings and held off a Penn State comeback in an 8-6 victory in game two of the series on Saturday. Freshman Ryan Castellanos pitched into the seventh and improved to 3-1, while junior Ronnie Muck closed out the final two innings for his second save. The Illini improved to 30-15 on the year, marking the fifth time they have reached 30 wins under head coach Dan Hartleb in eight seasons.

NORTHWESTERN 12, INDIANA 1
Northwestern scored early and often Saturday afternoon and its starting pitcher was magnificent on the hill as the Wildcats evened their series with No. 14 Indiana with a 12-1 victory at Bart Kaufman Field in Bloomington, Ind. RECAP

MICHIGAN 10, PURDUE 6
For the second straight day, Michigan broke a tie in the bottom of the eighth inning. This time, the Wolverines put up five runs in that frame and went on to win 10-6 over Purdue Saturday afternoon at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. RECAP

IOWA 2, MICHIGAN STATE 1
Sophomore Sasha Kuebel threw eight strong innings and junior Bryan Niedbalski delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead the University of Iowa baseball team to a 2-1 victory over Michigan State at Duane Banks Field. The victory clinched a series win for the Hawkeyes, their first series win of the season. Iowa defeated Michigan State in the series opener, 6-2, on Friday. RECAP

MINNESOTA 4, NEBRASKA 3
After a 6-0 loss to Nebraska on Friday, Minnesota tied up the series with a 4-3 victory over Cornhuskers, today at Siebert Field. The Golden Gophers now stand at 29-17, 12-5 in the Big Ten. With the win the Gophers return to the top of the Big Ten standings after Indiana lost, 12-1 to Northwestern. Nebraska falls to 22-26 in the season and 13-7 in the conference. RECAP

Oregon 3, OHIO STATE 1 (11), Game 1; Oregon 4, OHIO STATE 0, Game 2
The Ohio State baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against No. 6 Oregon Saturday at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. The Ducks won the opener, 3-1, in 11 innings before taking the nightcap, 4-0. The Buckeyes drop to 33-17 on the season while the Ducks improve to 39-11.
