ILLINOIS 6, MINNESOTA 2
Freshman Kevin Duchene allowed two earned runs over six solid innings and improved to 8-1, as the Illini won their fourth straight with a 6-2 victory over Minnesota (29-19) at Siebert Field. Duchene matched John Kravetz, who went 8-3 last season, for the most wins ever by an Illini freshman along with equaling the most victories by a Big Ten pitcher this season. Illinois (32-15) remained tied with Michigan for fifth place in the conference at 13-9 with two regular season games left. RECAP

IOWA 2, PURDUE 1
Sophomore Anthony Torres hit a go-ahead RBI single through the left side of the infield in the top of the 11th inning, sending the University of Iowa baseball team to a 2-1 win over Purdue at Alexander Field. RECAP

MICHIGAN 7, NEBRASKA 5
Michigan scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to come from behind and beat Nebraska, 7-5, on Thursday night (May 16) at Haymarket Park. RECAP

MICHIGAN STATE 16, PENN STATE 1
Michigan State baseball cruised to a 16-1 victory over Penn State on Thursday night at Medlar Park. The Spartans (32-16, 11-8 Big Ten) had 12 hits in the game and seven different Spartans notched at least one RBI. RECAP

OHIO STATE 2, INDIANA 1
Ohio State opened its series against No. 21 Indiana with a 2-1 victory Thursday evening at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. With the win, the Buckeyes improve to 34-19, 15-7 in conference play, while the Hoosiers drop to fall to 38-13, 15-7 in the Big Ten. The teams are tied atop the Big Ten heading into the final two games of the regular season. RECAP

Wichita State 8, NORTHWESTERN 2
Northwestern was unable to generate the offense necessary to overcome a steady attack put forth by Wichita State as the Wildcats dropped the opener of a three-game set to the Shockers, 8-2, Thursday at Eck Stadium in Wichita, Kan.  RECAP
