Five former Big Ten standouts were selected in the 2013 NBA Draft on Thursday, including four first-round selections. Three former Big Ten standouts were selected among the first nine picks, the most of any conference, and it marked the first time three Big Ten players were selected in the top 10 since 1990.

Two Hoosiers were selected in the draft's top four, with Victor Oladipo picked second overall by Orlando, while Cody Zeller was picked fourth by Charlotte. Michigan's Trey Burke was picked ninth by Minnesota before his draft rights were dealt to Utah and teammate Tim Hardaway Jr. was the 24th pick by the New York Knicks. Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas was selected 58th by San Antonio to round out the drafted Big Ten contingent.
