Kim Schuette, who led Eastern Illinois to Ohio Valley Conference championships in 2011 and 2013, was named the third head coach in Purdue softball history on Monday. Schuette has spent the last eight seasons with the Panthers, compiling a 232-191-1 record, while boasting a 256-219-1 mark in nine overall seasons as a head coach. The 2011 and 2013 OVC Coach of the Year kept Eastern Illinois among the top half of the conference each of her eight years, including spots among the top four seven times, the regular season titles in 2011 and 2013 and a runner-up finish in 2012.
