Delany celebrates 25th year as commissioner by visiting all 12 schools in August as teams set their sights on Pasadena
With the 118th season of Big Ten football less than a month away, Jim Delany is celebrating his 25th year as commissioner of the Big Ten Conference by travelling to each of the 12 conference institutions in the month of August to visit coaches, student-athletes and administrators. The 2013 campaign will feature the third annual Big Ten Football Championship Game at Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium on December 7, with the winner earning the chance to play in one of two postseason games at historic Rose Bowl Stadium - the 100th Rose Bowl Game on January 1, 2014, or the BCS National Championship Game on January 6, 2014.

August 22 - Nebraska
With the 12th and final stop of his preseason football tour, Delany visited Lincoln, Neb., and the Husker football team. Delany was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the East Stadium, then took in some of the Huskers' evening football workout. At its conclusion, Delany addressed the team and received a No. 25 helmet from the squad. The gallery will be continually updated.
August 22 - Minnesota
In his second stop of the day, and 11th during his preseason tour, Delany visited Minnesota's preseason practice, where he joined Director of Athletics Norwood Teague and head coach Jerry Kill at the team's afternoon workout. Delany spoke with the players, then Kill presented him with a No. 25 helmet and hockey coach Don Lucia delivered a personalized No. 1 Gopher hockey jersey. See the full gallery by clicking below.
August 22 - Iowa
Iowa City was the 10th stop of Delany's preseason tour, where he met with Iowa Director of Athletics Gary Barta and head coach Kirk Ferentz. Delany took in some portions of the practice before addressing the team. Barta and Ferentz presented Delany with a University of Iowa captain's chair in recognition of Delany's 25th year as Big Ten Commissioner. See the full gallery by clicking below.
August 20 - Purdue
Delany traveled to Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind., on Tuesday for his ninth preseason stop, taking in the Boilermaker practice and visiting with Director of Athletics Morgan Burke. Head coach Darrell Hazell presented Delany with a replica of the Boilermaker statue and other Purdue memorabilia before the commissioner addressed the squad. Delany visited Kenosha, Wis., for his eighth stop, meeting with Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald, addressing the team, being regaled by the squad signing the school fight song, receiving a No. 25 helmet in honor of his 25th year as commissioner and watching practice. August 15- Wisconsin
Delany visited Madison in his seventh stop, watching practice with Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez, addressing the football team and accepting a No. 25 jersey and signed helmet in honor of his 25th year as commissioner from Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen. August 10 - Illinois
Delany visited Champaign in his sixth stop, starting off his visit by meeting with the Fighting Illini in their team squad room prior to practice.
