Five Big Ten Teams Appear in Top 25 of Latest National Polls

Five Big Ten teams appeared in the top 25 of the latest Associated Press (AP) and USA Today Coaches polls, which were released on Tuesday. Ohio State leads all conference teams in the new rankings, appearing at No. 2 in the coaches standings and No. 3 in the AP vote. For the second straight week, Michigan appeared at No. 17 in both polls. Northwestern is ranked 19th in the writers rankings and 20th in the coaches poll, Nebraska is 19th in the coaches standings and 22nd in the AP vote and Wisconsin climbs to No. 21 in both rankings. Michigan State is receiving votes in both polls, while Penn State is among the teams also receiving votes in the AP rankings.
