Northwestern's Calistri Named National Player of the Week by College Soccer News

Northwestern forward Joey Calistri was named National Player of the Week by College Soccer News, it was announced on Monday. Calistri scored four goals in two games, including a hat trick that propelled Northwestern to the NIU Adidas Invite championship. He scored the game-winning goals in both games and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Calistri's efforts helped shut out both Green Bay (4-0) and Butler (2-0).

Calistri was also named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. The sophomore forward currently leads the Big Ten in points (13) and goals (6).

The Wildcats will compete in the Northwestern Lakeside Classic in Evanston, Ill., beginning on Sept. 20.
