Minnesota freshman goalkeeper Tarah Hobbs earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Hobbs earned the accolade after making seven saves in Minnesota's 0-0 double overtime draw against Ohio State on Oct. 4. She then collected seven saves to help the Golden Gophers shut out No. 7 Penn State, 1-0, on Oct. 6. Hobbs has shut out two consecutive Big Ten opponents and currently leads the conference in saves per game. She was named Big Ten Defensive Player and Co-Freshman of the Week on Monday.
Minnesota will continue Big Ten play against Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., on Saturday.
