The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, has named Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner as one of eight quarterbacks among its "Stars of the Week." The junior signal caller set school records with 503 passing yards and 584 yards of total offense, the latter of which was just one yard shy of the Big Ten record of 585 yards of total offense set by Illinois' Dave Wilson in 1980. Gardner completed 21-of-29 passes with two touchdowns, and added 81 rushing yards and three scores, to lead Michigan to a 63-47 win over Indiana. College football fans can now go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Facebook page to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Thursday at 11 a.m. (Central), the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Player of the Week.
