After jumping out to a perfect 4-0-0 start this season, Minnesota has claimed the No. 1 spot in the latest editions of both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls. The Gophers posted a road sweep at Bemidji State last weekend with 6-3 and 5-1 victories to move up from No. 3 in last week's polls.

Michigan is now the No. 4 team in both polls after posting a win and a tie at No. 13 New Hampshire last weekend. The Wolverines and Wildcats skated to a 1-1 tie on Friday before Tyler Motte tallied an overtime game-winning goal on Saturday to earn the 3-2 victory. Meanwhile, Wisconsin dropped to No. 11 in both polls following road losses to Boston College and Boston University. Ohio State is receiving votes in the USCHO.com poll.
