Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan was named a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award, given to the nation's best offensive lineman, defensive lineman or linebacker. The reigning Big Ten Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year was a first-team All-American last season and leads a Wolverine offense that is averaging nearly 38 points and more than 400 yards of total offense per contest. Fourteen standouts from current Big Ten schools have claimed the Lombardi Award, most recently when Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh was honored in 2009.
