Ohio State's Braxton Miller was named a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien Award, given annually to the nation's top quarterback. Miller, who was a finalist for the O'Brien Award last season, has completed 73 percent of his passes for 1,316 yards and 15 touchdowns and only three interceptions, despite missing games due to injury. He has also rushed for 410 yards and two more touchdowns to lead the Buckeyes to a perfect 9-0 start, and 21 straight wins overall. Six players from current Big Ten schools have won the Davey O'Brien Award, most recently when Ohio State's Troy Smith was honored in 2006.
