The Ohio State men's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie at No. 13/13 Michigan and then won the shootout, 1-0, to pick up the extra point in the Big Ten standings Friday in Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich. Buckeye freshman goalie Matt Tomkins made 35 saves in the game, while senior Alex Szczechura scored in regulation and had the lone shootout tally. RECAP | BOX SCORE

#2/2 MINNESOTA 5, PENN STATE 1
No. 2/2 Minnesota tallied five unanswered goals from five different players to defeat Penn State 5-1 Friday night at Mariucci Arena. Sophomore goalie Adam Wilcox turned aside 30 shots for the Gophers, who extended their lead over second-place Wisconsin in the conference standings to four points. RECAP | BOX SCORE
