Three Teams Ranked Among Top 25 Polls

The ESPN.com/USA Softball and USA Today/NFCA Coaches polls were released on Tuesday, and Big Ten softball was well-represented with three teams among the top 25 of both national polls.

In the USA Softball poll, Michigan was ranked No. 5, followed by No. 12 Nebraska and No. 20 Minnesota, which moved up four spots. In the coaches' ballot, Michigan was ranked No. 7, followed by No. 11 Nebraska and No. 21 Minnesota. Northwestern also received votes in the coaches' poll.

The Big Ten softball season resumes this Friday (Feb. 21), with Michigan heading to the FAU Kickoff Classic in Boca Raton, Fla., Nebraska traveling to the H Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, Calif., Minnesota playing in the UNCG Spartan Classic in Greensboro, N.C., and Northwestern competing in the Mary Nutter Classic, also in Cathedral City.
