Iowa's Lindsey Meder (2002, women's basketball)
A two-time Academic All-American and first-team All-Big Ten selection, Meder was awarded the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2002. In her four years, she led the Hawkeyes to three NCAA Championship appearances, a Big Ten title (1998) and a Big Ten Tournament crown (2001). The Solon, Iowa, native ranks second all-time in scoring (1,906) and first in three-point field goals (261) for the Hawkeyes. Her three-point field goals made also ranks fifth in the Big Ten record book. Meder was taken by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2002 WNBA Draft. Following her professional career, she returned to Iowa for dental school and is currently a practicing endodontist.
