University of Iowa baseball team to a 2-1 win over Northwestern in the
opening game of a Saturday doubleheader at Lee Pfund Stadium.

splitting a doubleheader against the Iowa Hawkeyes at Lee Pfund Stadium
in Carol Stream, Ill. Iowa squeaked out a 2-1 victory in the opener
before the Wildcats roared back to take the nightcap, 5-1.

The Ohio State baseball team took both games of a doubleheader from
Purdue to sweep the series against the Boilermakers Saturday at
Alexander Field. The Buckeyes won the first game, 8-3, before picking up
a 7-0 victory in the nightcap. Ohio State improves to 15-6 on the
season, 3-0 in Big Ten play, while Purdue falls to 7-14, 0-3 in
conference play.

The Hoosier Baseball winning streak extended to 11 games on Saturday,
sweeping a doubleheader and the Big Ten-opening series over Penn State.
