Michigan State and Ohio State remain the lone Big Ten representatives to appear in the latest NSCAA/HendrickCars.com national men's soccer rankings. The Spartans (10-3-0 overall, 2-2-0 Big Ten) have moved up five places since last week, checking in at No. 16. The Buckeyes (7-4-2, 2-1-0) fell from No. 16 in last week's poll to No. 25 this week. Indiana (7-4-1, 2-0-1), Penn State (8-4-1, 1-2-1) and Michigan (8-3-3, 2-2-0) are receiving votes.

MSCR: Michigan State, Penn State Take Home Weekly Honors

Michigan State's Avery Steinlage and Penn State's Corey Hertzog have been named the Big Ten Conference men's soccer Players of the Week, announced on Monday. Hertzog takes home Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Steinlage earns Defensive Player of the Week laurels.

MSCR: Weekend Recap

Another weekend in Big Ten men's soccer action resulted in another shakeup in the conference standings, with Indiana taking the helm as the top team. The Hoosiers defeated Michigan, 2-1, to move one point ahead of the three-way tie in second place. The Wolverines sit in a deadlock with Ohio State and Michigan State for second.

The 16th-ranked Buckeyes remained at two conference wins after a weekend of non-conference play, while the 21st-ranked Spartans earned their second win of the Big Ten season and 10th overall with a 3-0 victory over Wisconsin. Penn State and Northwestern played to a 1-1 draw to remain in a tie for fifth place in the conference.

Week four of Big Ten men's soccer conference play begins on Saturday, with Michigan traveling to Indiana for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff live on the Big Ten Network. Action continues on Sunday as Northwestern hosts Penn State and No. 21 Michigan State hosts Wisconsin, with No. 16 Ohio State welcoming Valparaiso in a non-conference tilt.

After reeling in his third Big Ten men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week award of the season on Monday, Indiana's Will Bruin has been named the NSCAA National Player of the Week. The junior scored three goals in two games and helped Indiana take down No. 11 Creighton last weekend.

The Buckeyes (6-3-2 overall, 2-1-0 Big Ten) check in at No. 16, while the Spartans (8-3-0, 1-2-0) sit at No. 21. The Big Ten Conference has announced its men's soccer weekly award winners, with Indiana's Will Bruin and Penn State's Andy Parr garnering recognition. Bruin takes home Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Parr earns Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Three Big Ten men's soccer teams closed out the week of competition on Sunday with 2-0-0 records, including new Big Ten co-leader Michigan. The Wolverines notched wins over Cincinnati and Wisconsin to move into a tie with Ohio State for the conference lead. Northwestern also finished the week 2-0-0, downing DePaul and handing the 15th-ranked Buckeyes their first loss of the conference season. Penn State earned wins over Villanova and No. 18 Michigan State to close out the week with a perfect record. Indiana picked up its third win over a ranked opponent, defeating No. 11 Creighton, 3-2.
