Nebraska 64, Iowa 60
Dylan Talley's 3-pointer with 9.2 seconds left broke a 60-all tie, lifting Nebraska to a 64-60 win over Iowa Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 12,334 at the Devaney Center Saturday afternoon. With the score tied at 60, Nebraska got the ball back with 44 seconds left after Brandon Ubel drew a charge on Roy Devyn Marble. Nebraska took a timeout with 20 seconds left to set up its final possession. Talley, a 6-foot-5 senior guard, took several seconds before he stopped and pulled up for a long 3-pointer over Iowa guard Mike Gesell to put the Huskers ahead. Iowa, which saw its three-game win streak snapped, came down quickly after Talley's basket and got off a shot to tie, but Gesell missed a game-tying shot. Iowa then fouled Ray Gallegos, who split a pair of free throws, to give NU a four-point lead and Marble missed a halfcourt shot at the buzzer. RECAP

Illinois (rv/rv) 64, Penn State 59
D.J. Richardson finished with 18 points and hit a pair of key free throws late in Illinois' 64-59 win over Penn State. The win was the fifth straight for Illinois (20-8, 7-7 Big Ten). But facing a team that hadn't won since late December, it didn't come easy. Jermaine Marshall's 3-pointer brought Penn State within 62-59 with 5 seconds left. Richardson then sank a pair of free throws that sealed the win. Illinois led 29-20 at the end of a brutal first half. The Illini's Brandon Paul entered the game a point shy of 1,500 in his career. It took him almost 17 minutes to get it. He finished with 16. RECAP

Academic All-America of the Year Aaron Craft of Ohio State is one of three Big Ten players selected to the Capital One Academic All-American Men's Basketball Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. Craft was named a first-team Academic All-American for the second straight year and is joined on the first team by Indiana sophomore Cody Zeller, making the Big Ten the only conference with multiple first-team standouts. Indiana's Jordan Hulls was also named to the Academic All-America squad, earning a spot on the third team, making the Hoosiers the only program with two selections. The three Big Ten student-athletes honored as Academic All-Americans is tied for the most of any conference in the country. It is the second straight season the Big Ten has had three student-athletes earn Academic All-America laurels.

#18/18 Ohio State 71, Minnesota (rv/rv) 45
Deshaun Thomas overcame a slow start to score 19 points and No. 18 Ohio State used a 16-0 second-half run to beat Minnesota 71-45 on Wednesday night. The teams came into the night in dire need of a Big Ten win. Both had lost three of their last four, and each was humiliated on the road on Sunday. The Golden Gophers (18-9, 6-8 Big Ten) were pounded at Iowa, 72-51, while Ohio State (19-7, 9-5) wasn't a factor over the final 35 minutes in a 71-49 beatdown at Wisconsin. Shannon Scott added 11 points and LaQuinton Ross 10 for the Buckeyes, who have won the last six meetings with the Golden Gophers overall and the last six in Columbus. RECAP

#19/17 Wisconsin 69, Northwestern 41
Ben Brust loves to go inside with all the big men and come away with the basketball. The guard plays a lot bigger than his stature, much to the delight of Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan. Brust had 12 points and eight rebounds after missing the last two days of practice with a sore left knee, and the 19th-ranked Badgers shut down Northwestern 69-41 on Wednesday night for their fifth win in six games. "We needle him a little bit. He's a lot tougher than he looks," Ryan said. "Physically he's bought into everything we're trying to do and have done over the years." RECAP

#1/1 Indiana 72, #4/5 Michigan State 68
Victor Oladipo's go-ahead putback, dunk and free throws in the final minute lifted top-ranked Indiana to a 72-68 win over No. 4 Michigan State on Tuesday night. Indiana (24-3, 12-2 Big Ten) broke a first-place tie in the conference. The Hoosiers had lost 17 straight - since 1991 - on the road against the Spartans. Trailing by three with 3.7 seconds left, Gary Harris was fouled on a 3-point attempt. He missed the first one and then after making the second, missed the third on purpose. Indiana got the rebound and Oladipo hit two free throws to seal the win. RECAP
