Ohio State's Jared Sullinger is making his case for the Big Ten Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, having just recorded his third straight double-double in as many days.

Sullinger had 20 points and 18 rebounds in Friday's win over Northwestern, 14 points and 13 rebounds against Michigan, and finished with 15 points and 11 boards today against Penn State.

ConsecoFieldhouse2011.jpgThe 2011 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament was viewed before a total of 86,767 fans over the five sessions, marking the third-highest attendance figure in the seven-year history of the event in Indianapolis.

The 2002 tournament -- the first conference tournament hosted by Indianapolis -- drew a record 94,402 fans, while the 2006 event brought in 90,463 to Conseco Fieldhouse.

Inside the 12-minute media timeout right now and Penn State's Talor Battle has all eight of the Nittany Lions' points.

That prompts us for a little Did You Know...

Did you know Battle is just one of three players in NCAA Division I history to have logged at least 2,000 points, 600 rebounds and 500 assists in their career? 

Battle entered Big Ten Tournament play with 2,119 points, 501 rebounds and 506 assists for his career, joining Duke's Danny Ferry and Maryland's Grevis Vasquez in the elite company.

We are underway in the championship final of the 2011 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament.

At our first media timeout (15:55), Ohio State leads Penn State, 8-6.  The action has been from the perimeter so far, with Talor Battle scoring all six of the Nittany Lions' points off a pair of 3s, while Ohio State's Jon Diebler and William Buford each have a trey for the Buckeyes.  Dallas Lauderdale was responsible for the other OSU points.

Getting the competitive juices flowing, Brutus Buckeye squared off against the Nittany Lion in a mascot push-up contest at the Big Ten Pep Rally, prior to the 2011 Big Ten Tournament Championship between Ohio State and Penn State at Conseco Fieldhouse on March 13.
