MXC: In the Polls

Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota and Penn State have all earned rankings in the latest USTFCCCA men's cross country coaches' poll. After winning their 12th consecutive Big Ten title last weekend, the Badgers have cracked the top five, checking in at No. 5. The Hoosiers appear at No. 12 in the poll, while the Golden Gophers jump to No. 24 and the Nittany Lions hold No. 26. Michigan State and Ohio State are receiving votes in this week's rankings.

MXC: Wisconsin Sweeps Big Ten Postseason Awards

After earning its 12th consecutive Big Ten Championships title, the Wisconsin men's cross country team has swept the conference's postseason awards, it was announced on Tuesday. Senior Landon Peacock takes home Athlete of the Year honors, while head coach Mick Byrne receives Coach of the Year accolades and Andrew Shields earns Freshman of the Year status. The conference also announced 10 Sportsmanship Award Honorees, recognizing one student-athlete from each team who distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.

MXC: Wisconsin Wins 12th Consecutive Big Ten Title

The Wisconsin men's cross country team placed four runners in the top 10 to earn its 12th consecutive and 44th overall Big Ten Championships title on its home course on Sunday. Landon Peacock took top honors, finishing the eight-kilometer race in 23:41 to pace the Badgers. Wisconsin finished with 28 team points, followed by Indiana with 75 and Minnesota with 101.

MXC: 2010 Big Ten Cross Country Championships Preview

With each of the last 11 Big Ten Men's Cross Country Championships under its belt, Wisconsin welcomes the nine other conference teams to Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course for the 2010 Championships on Sunday. The eight-kilometer race is set to begin at 11:45 a.m. CT.

XC: Illinois Sweeps Final Weekly Honors of 2010

Illinois' Chris DeSilva and Meghan Frigo have been named the Big Ten men's and women's cross country Runners of the Week as announced on Tuesday. DeSilva took first place at the Illini Open last weekend, while Frigo finished second.

Three Big Ten men's cross country squads have earned rankings in this week's USTFCCCA national coaches' poll. Wisconsin makes the leap back into the top 10, jumping in front of Indiana at No. 6. After making their debut in the top 10 two weeks ago, the Hoosiers remain at No. 7 in the latest poll. Penn State rounds out the group, checking in at No. 24. Michigan State and Ohio State are also receiving votes.

Indiana's Ben Hubers and Iowa's Jeff Thode have been named the Big Ten Conference men's cross country Co-Runners of the Week, announced on Tuesday. Hubers led Indiana to second place at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival on Saturday while Thode helped Iowa win the Bradley Classic on Friday.
