#12/11 MICHIGAN 7, MICHIGAN STATE 1
Junior forward Andrew Sinelli recorded his first career hat trick as one of five players with multiple points on the night to lead the University of Michigan ice hockey team to a 7-1 win over Michigan State inside Yost Ice Arena. The Wolverines recorded their most lopsided win over the Spartans since an 8-1 win on Feb. 17, 1996 at Joe Louis Arena, and the largest margin of victory over Michigan State at Yost Ice Arena since a 9-2 win on Jan. 16, 1981. #5/5 WISCONSIN 4, PENN STATE 2
Even as the Wisconsin men's hockey team marched up the Big Ten standings and ascended to the top five in the PairWise rankings, critics alleged that the Badgers were a different team away from the Kohl Center than they were at home. While UW's second-straight road win should take some wind out of the sails of that argument, Wisconsin (20-9-2, 11-5-1 Big Ten) certainly looked like a Jekyll-and-Hyde team on Friday, dominating the first 35 minutes of the contest before surviving a Penn State (6-23-2, 2-14-1 Big Ten) onslaught over the final 25 minutes to win, 4-2. #1/1 MINNESOTA 5, OHIO STATE (rv/-) 1
Freshman Taylor Cammarata (one goal, two assists) and sophomore Mike Reilly (three assists) each recorded three points and sophomore goalie Adam Wilcox tallied 30 saves as the No. 1/1 Minnesota men's hockey team defeated Ohio State 5-1 in Columbus, Ohio. With the win, the Gophers clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming Big Ten Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. RECAP | BOX SCORE
