Ten Big Ten men's tennis teams appear in the latest ITA College Tennis Rankings, released on Tuesday. Ohio State, which clinched the outright Big Ten Championship last Friday, claimed the No. 2 spot this week. Illinois (No. 12) and Penn State (No. 24) joined Ohio State in the top 25, followed by Northwestern (No. 32), Purdue (No. 34) and Michigan (No. 43) in the top 50. Minnesota checks in at No. 55, with Michigan State (No. 61), Indiana (No. 67) and Nebraska (No. 69) also within the top 70.

Individually, 15 Big Ten men's tennis players and 10 doubles pairs have been ranked nationally in the ITA poll. The complete list of Big Ten singles and doubles players can be found below.

Ohio State, which clinched a share of the Big Ten Championship on Sunday, claimed the No. 1 spot for the seventh time this season. Illinois (No. 10) and Penn State (No. 22) joined Ohio State in the top 25, followed by Purdue (No. 28), Northwestern (No. 35) and Michigan (No. 49) in the top 50. Minnesota checks in at No. 51, with Indiana (No. 59) and Nebraska (No. 63) also within the top 65.

NCAA Individual Champions
At least 96 Big Ten Medal of Honor winners have been crowned NCAA individual champions during their career, which includes athletes in the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's fencing, men's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's tennis, men's and women's track & field and wrestling. Men's track & field and wrestling have both produced over 20 national champion Medal of Honor winners.

At least 579 Big Ten Medal of Honor recipients have been a part of teams that have won Big Ten Championships, including at least 44 who won conference titles all four years they competed. Big Ten Medal of Honor winners have won four straight crowns in the sports of men's basketball, men's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, men's track & field and wrestling.

Ohio State breaks NCAA home win streak record

Led by senior Peter Kobelt, a native of New Albany, Ohio, the No. 2 Ohio State men's tennis team rewrote history Friday night with a 4-3 victory over No. 28 Northwestern at the Varsity Tennis Center. The Buckeyes (20-2, 6-0 Big Ten) won their 185th-consecutive home match, breaking the intercollegiate NCAA record set by Stanford women's tennis team from 1999-2011. Guided by director of tennis and head coach Ty Tucker, who claimed his 415th career win, Ohio State won the doubles point and three singles matches to secure the win against the Wildcats (12-9, 1-4 Big Ten).

Football has the most Academic All-Big Ten selections (132), followed by track & field (84), swimming & diving (69), basketball (61), tennis (37), gymnastics (35), cross country (34), soccer (32) and volleyball (30).
