MICHIGAN 8, PENN STATE 1 Sophomore Matt Ogden
pitched six innings of scoreless relief, as Michigan scored multiple runs in three different innings in an 8-1
win over Penn State Sunday afternoon at the Wilpon Complex,
home of Ray Fisher Stadium. Michigan has now won nine games in a row and
sweeps consecutive Big Ten series for the first time since 2008. RECAPMICHIGAN STATE 5, INDIANA 3 For the third straight day, Michigan State defeated No. 12
Indiana in the last at-bat of the game at McLane Stadium. The Spartans
(21-11, 5-4) led 5-3 heading into the ninth but a Michael Basil two-RBI
double evened the game. With two outs and bases loaded in the ninth,
sophomore Ryan Krill smacked a single to left field, sending home Ryan Richardson for the winning run. RECAPMINNESOTA 7, NORTHWESTERN 1 Minnesota baseball head coach John Anderson
established his 500th career conference win with a 7-1 victory over
Northwestern, today in Evanston, Ill. The win also marked a sweep over
the Wildcats as the Golden Gophers improve to 22-13 on the season and
7-2 in Big Ten play. RECAPOHIO STATE 7, NEBRASKA 4 Ohio State held on to beat Nebraska Sunday
afternoon at Haymarket Park, 7-4. The Buckeyes take two of three from
the Huskers and improve to 7-5 in the Big Ten and 23-11 overall. Brian King
went 7.0 strong innings for the Buckeyes to pick up the win and improve
to 5-4. King allowed no runs on three hits and two walks while striking
out three. RECAPILLINOIS 17, PURDUE 6 Senior Justin Parr and the hot-hitting Illini offense made it a memorable Bleacher Bum Barbecue at Illinois Field on Sunday. Justin Parr
hit for the cycle, notched four runs and four RBI and extended his
career-high hitting streak to 20 games in Illinois' 17-6 victory over
Purdue. The Illini matched their season-high for hits from Friday night
with 20 and completed the sweep of the Boilermakers in front of 2,574
fans, the sixth-largest home crowd in school history. RECAP IOWA 5, Kansas State 3 Iowa dropped the third and final game
of its weekend series with Kansas State on Sunday at Duane Banks Field,
falling 5-3. Kansas State won the three-game series, taking the final two games. The Hawkeyes won the series opener, 6-1, on Friday. RECAP
ILLINOIS 6, PURDUE 4 Trailing 4-3 with two outs in the bottom of the eighth, sophomore David Kerian tied the game with an RBI single to left, and two pitches later, redshirt-sophomore Reid Roper belted the game-winning home run to right field. Fifth-year senior Bryan Roberts
secured Illinois' 6-4 victory over Purdue with a perfect ninth,
notching his third save and 12th scoreless inning of relief this season. RECAPMICHIGAN 3, PENN STATE 2 Michigan made three early runs hold up
with 3.2 innings of scoreless relief in a 3-2 win over Penn State on
Saturday afternoon at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher
Stadium. Michigan has now won eight games in a row and nine of its last
10. RECAPMICHIGAN STATE 6, INDIANA 5 Sophomore Jimmy Pickens homered to right field in the
bottom of the 10th inning, giving Michigan State a 6-5 win over No. 12
Indiana on Saturday afternoon at McLane Stadium. It marks the first
series victory for MSU over a ranked opponent in the Jake Boss era and
the second consecutive walk-off win in extra innings. RECAP OHIO STATE 6, NEBRASKA 5 Ohio State outlasted Nebraska in 11 innings, winning
6-5 Saturday afternoon in front of 4,076 spectators at Haymarket Park.
The Buckeyes improve to 22-11 overall and 6-5 in the Big Ten while
Nebraska falls to 14-18 and 8-3 in the Big Ten. RECAPMINNESOTA 6, NORTHWESTERN 3 Minnesota solidified a series win when it
defeated Northwestern, 6-3, today in Evanston, Ill. With a 4-2 win on
Friday and a 6-3 win today, the Golden Gophers have now won their first
three Big Ten Conference series as they improve to 6-2 in the league and
21-13 overall. RECAPKansas State 11, IOWA 4 Iowa fell to Kansas State, 11-4, on
Saturday at Duane Banks Field in the second game of a three-game set. The Wildcats (25-11) offense came alive, scoring 11 runs on 17
hits, after scoring one run on seven hits in the series opener Friday
night.

of the 11th inning, searching for a clutch hit to seal the upset.

RECAP NEBRASKA 11, OHIO STATE 2 Nebraska improved to 4-0 in Big Ten series openers on Friday afternoon with a 11-2 win over Ohio State at Hawks Field. Junior Christian DeLeon delivered 8.0 innings on the mound, whle the Husker bats pounded out 15 hits to bring Nebraska to a tie with Indiana for first place in the Big Ten standings.
