Two women's basketball standouts have been named finalists for the Lieberman award, it was announced on Friday. Nebraska's Lindsey Moore and Penn State's Alex Bentley were two of three finalists for the award, given annually to the nation's top point guard. The criteria for the award are floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills that personified Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman during her career. Sportswriters from across the country determined the award winner and finalists.

Two women's basketball standouts have been named to 2012-13 Senior CLASS Award teams, it was announced on Friday. Purdue's Drey Mingo was selected as a first-team honoree, while Iowa's Jaime Printy collected second-team recognition. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence - classroom, community, character and competition.

Indiana women's basketball player Aulani Sinclair outlasted seven other long distance shooters from around the country to win the 2013 State Farm 3-Point Championship. Sinclair tallied the second-best total of the first round with a score of 17 as the top four shooters moved on to the semifinals. The senior then put up the best score in the semis with 20 to earn a spot in the finals. In the final round, Sinclair took on Marissa Kastanek of NC State. Kastanek shot first and finished with a score of 17. Sinclair stepped up and tallied a score of 20 to take home the title. With participating in the event, Sinclair became the first player in Indiana women's basketball history to compete in the annual 3-point competition.

The Big Ten men's swimming & diving season concluded at the NCAA Championships on March 30 at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, Ind., as Michigan won its Big Ten leading 12th NCAA title and first since 1995. The Wolverines also took home their third consecutive Big Ten Championship this season, earning 899 points at the meet.
NCAA Championship Central: Michigan won its Big Ten leading 12th NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships title and first since 1995 on March 30 on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, Ind. The Wolverines totaled 480 team points en route to the national title, while ninth-place Indiana finished in the top 10 with 201 points. Michigan had 27 top-10 finishes on the way to the crown, including individual titles from Connor Jaeger in the 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle and the Wolverines' 200 medley relay team consisting of Miguel Ortiz, Bruno Ortiz, Sean Fletcher and Zach Turk. Penn State Lady Lion junior guard Maggie Lucas added another All-America honor to her collection as she was named to the 10-player United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-America team, it as announced on Wednesday. Lucas, who was selected as a second team Associated Press All-America, is the first Lady Lion to earn USBWA honors since Tanisha Wright in 2005.

Penn State's Maggie Lucas was tabbed a second-team honoree, while teammate Alex Bentley, Illinois' Karisma Penn, Minnesota's Rachel Banham, Nebraska's Jordan Hooper and Lindsey Moore, Ohio State's Tayler Hill and Purdue's Drey Mingo collected honorable mention recognition.
Six Big Ten women's gymnastics squads are ranked in the top 20 of the latest GymInfo poll, released on Monday. Michigan leads the way for conference teams, coming in at No. 5. Big Ten Champion Nebraska joins the Wolverines in the top 10 at No. 8, while Minnesota is tied for the No. 12 spot and Penn State comes in at No. 14. Illinois ranks No. 17 and Ohio State sits at No. 20.
