Penn State 85, Cal Poly 55
The third-seeded Penn State Lady Lions (26-5, 14-2 Big Ten) scored 47 points in the second half as they picked up an 85-55 victory over the No. 14 seed Cal Poly Mustangs (21-11, 13-5 Big West) on Sunday evening to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. With the victory, Penn State will play the winner of No. 11 Green Bay/No. 6 LSU on Tuesday night at 9:30 (ET) at the Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge. Maggie Lucas (Narberth, Pa.) leading the way on 19 points, four assists and four steals. Senior Mia Nickson (Ashburn, Va.) had a great all-around game, tallying her 15th career double-double of her career on 13 points and 13 rebounds. It was Nickson's third career double-double in six NCAA Tournament games. Senior Alex Bentley (Indianapolis, Ind.) chipped in 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting. RECAP

The University of Michigan women's basketball team advanced to the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament with a 60-52 victory over on Sunday at Maples Pavilion on the Stanford University campus. The Wolverines had four players score in double figures and advanced to take on top-seeded Stanford on Tuesday night. RECAP
Iowa 69, Miami (Fla.) 53
The ninth-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the eighth-seeded Miami Hurricanes, 69-53, Sunday evening in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. The Hawkeyes were led by Samantha Logic, as she posted a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Melissa Dixon also reached double figures with 13 points and Morgan Johnson pulled down 11 boards as well. RECAP
Nebraska 73, Chattanooga 59
The University of Minnesota (18-14) women's basketball team fell 54-51 to Ball State (16-14) Friday night in the opening round of the WNIT at Williams Arena. The loss ends Minnesota's season. Micaella Riche led the Golden Gophers with 18 points, while sophomore Rachel Banham added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. RECAP
