Individual conference champions were crowned in each of the six events at the Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships on Saturday night, concluding this year's event. Big Ten Champion Illinois took home two event titles, while Michigan and Ohio State also reeled in two and Minnesota captured one event crown.

The Big Ten individual award winners and All-Big Ten teams were honored after the championships, with Michigan's Sam Mikulak garnering Gymnast and Freshman of the Year honors. Illinois' Justin Spring earned his second consecutive Big Ten Coach of the Year award.

MGYM: Illinois Wins Third-Straight Big Ten Title

Illinois earned its third consecutive Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championship on Friday during the first session of the conference championships. The host Fighting Illini totaled a team score of 355.550 en route to the title in their home arena. Michigan finished second with a score of 352.750, followed by Ohio State in third at 350.000. Penn State took fourth at 349.000, while Minnesota placed fifth at 344.400 and Iowa took sixth at 339.300.

MGYM: 2011 Big Ten Championships Preview

The 2011 Big Ten Men's Gymnastics Championships are set to take place this weekend as all six conference teams will descend upon the University of Illinois' Huff Hall to compete for the Big Ten title. The event will begin with team competition and all-around finals on Friday, concluding with the individual event finals on Saturday. Both days of competition kick off at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live by the Big Ten Network.

Illinois' Austin Phillips and Alex Varga have been awarded the final Big Ten men's gymnastics weekly honors of the season, the conference office announced on Monday. Phillips picked up Gymnast of the Week laurels, while Varga was named the Freshman of the Week.

Illinois' Tyler Mizoguchi and Michigan's Sam Mikulak have been named the Big Ten Gymnast and Freshman of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced on Monday. Mizoguchi set career highs in four events and the all-around against No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 5 Penn State, while Mikulak won four titles against No. 7 Ohio State on Saturday.

The latest GymInfo men's gymnastics national team rankings have been released, with all six Big Ten teams appearing in the top 11. Illinois leads the way at No. 4 with a three score average of 353.967, while No. 5 Penn State (352.633), No. 6 Michigan (351.900) and No. 7 Ohio State (347.433) following closely behind. Minnesota checks in at No. 9 (346.267) and Iowa holds No. 11 (343.200) this week.

Michigan's Thomas Kelley has been tabbed the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week, while Minnesota's Zack Chase has earned the conference Freshman of the Week award. Kelley earns the honor after posting four top-five finishes and leading the No. 6 Wolverines to a strong showing against No. 2 Oklahoma, while Chase picked up a pair of top-two finishes en route to his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor this season.

Penn State's Felix Aronovich has been named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and Michigan's Sam Mikulak has earned Freshman of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Monday.
