Penn State freshman Ed Ruth earns Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors after winning five bouts, including decisions over top-ranked Mack Lewnes of Cornell and No. 2 Chris Henrich of Virginia, en route to the 174-pound title at the Southern Scuffle last week.

Iowa 125-pounder Matt McDonough, Michigan 141-pounder Kellen Russell and Wisconsin 165-pounder Andrew Howe again lead their weight classes, earning the top ranking. Nine Big Ten wrestling teams again highlight the latest NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll, with Minnesota leading the way at No. 3. After earning its first conference win last weekend, Penn State moves from No. 5 in last week's poll into a tie with Wisconsin for No. 4 this week. No. 6 Iowa and No. 9 Illinois hold the same ranks as last week. Michigan and Purdue swap spots from last week's rankings, with the Wolverines moving up to No. 15 and the Boilermakers falling to No. 16. Northwestern remains at No. 20, while Ohio State falls three spots to No. 25.

Wisconsin leads the Big Ten in the InterMat Tournament Rankings, taking No. 3 in this week's edition. No. 4 Minnesota and No. 5 Iowa earn top-five status, while No. 7 Penn State and No. 9 Northwestern again earn top-10 rankings. Illinois checks in at No. 13, followed by Michigan at No. 16. No. 34 Purdue, No. 39 Indiana, No. 40 Ohio State and No. 46 Michigan State round out the Big Ten contingent in the rankings.

WRES: Illinois' Dallago Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week

Illinois 184-pounder Tony Dallago has been named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Dallago led the No. 9 Illini to a 26-15 win over No. 15 Purdue on Sunday, giving them their first Big Ten win of the 2010-11 season.

WRES: 2011 Big Ten Championships Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets for the 2011 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, held on March 5-6 at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill., are now on sale through the Northwestern University ticket office. Fans can purchase tickets by calling the ticket office at 888-GO-PURPLE. Those who have already submitted their ticket request to wrestling.northwestern@gmail.com will be contacted by a Northwestern account executive this week. Fans can also request seats within a specific school's designated seating areas.
