Purdue 74, Nebraska 70

It took a pair of overtimes, but Purdue held off conference newcomer Nebraska to win its eight Big Ten Conference Tournament Championship with a 74-70 win on Sunday afternoon.  Purdue will be the conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.

It's championship day at the 2012 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament.  No. 6 seed Nebraska is looking to upset its third straight opponent to win the event in the Huskers' first year as a member of the Big Ten Conference.  Purdue, coming off an upset of top-seeded Penn State last night, will look to build to its conference-leading total of tournament championships and bring home an eighth women's basketball tournament championship trophy to West Lafayette.

Purdue 68, Penn State 66

Brittany Rayburn scored the winning basket with under two seconds remaining to give Purdue a 68-66 win over top seed Penn State in the second semifinal game of the 2012 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament.  The Boilermakers will face Nebraska on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET for the Tournament Championship.

Nebraska 77, Ohio State 62

Jordan Hooper scored a team-high 21 points while Kaitlyn Burke added a career-high 20 to lead Nebraska to its second straight upset win in the 2012 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament.  The Huskers eliminated three-time defending champion Ohio State, 77-62, on Saturday evening to earn a spot in the championship game in their first ever Big Ten Tournament.  The Huskers started slow, falling behind 24-11, before catching fire with about five minutes remaining and putting together a 40-10 run that stretched almost six minutes into the second half. Nebraska will play the winner of the upcoming Penn State-Purdue game for the Big Ten Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Semifinal Matchups

Semifinal action at the 2012 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament begins at 5:00 p.m. ET live on BTN.  First up is No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 6 Nebraska.  Ohio State is looking for its fourth consecutive Big Ten Tournament championship, while newcomer Nebraska is the only lower seed (No. 6) to win a game in this year's tournament with its upset of No. 3 Iowa yesterday.  The nightcap features top seed Penn State facing local favorite Purdue about 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first semifinal.

Purdue 73, Michigan State 64

Brittany Rayburn scored a game-high 29 points including seven three-pointers to lead Purdue to a 73-64 win over Michigan State in the final quarterfinal of the 2012 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament.  The Boilermakers held off a strong MSU rally late in the second half to earn a spot against top seeded Penn State on Saturday in the second semifinal contest.  Semifinal action begins on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. ET when Ohio State takes on Nebraska.

Penn State 78, Minnesota 74

Top seed Penn State held off a furious rally by No. 8 seed Minnesota in the waning minutes of the game to preserve a 78-74 win in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament.  The Lady Lions were led by sophomore Maggie Lucas, who had 22 points and seven rebounds on the night.  Penn State will face the winner of the upcoming Michigan State-Purdue game in the second semifinal contest on Saturday.

Nebraska 80, Iowa 68

Lindsey Moore scored 19 second-half points en route to a game-high 26 to lead No. 6 seed Nebraska to a 80-68 upset win over No. 3 Iowa in quarterfinal action at the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament. The Huskers will take on second-seeded Ohio State in Saturday's first semifinal matchup.
