The conference office announced on Wednesday the weekly women's outdoor track and field awards. Ohio State's Letecia Wright was recognized as Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week, while Indiana's Vera Neuenswander earned the nod as Field Athlete of the Week honoree.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the 270 women that earned either first-team or second-team USTFCCCA All-America distinctions for the 2011 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season. Each school was represented, as the Big Ten garnered 23 recipients.

Michigan led all Big Ten teams as competition came to a close at the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University on Saturday. The Wolverines tallied 12 team points to finish tied in 12th place. Rounding out the Big Ten contingent was Wisconsin (T36), Indiana (T36), Ohio State (T40), Penn State (T45), Illinois (T50), Iowa (T50), Minnesota (T50) and Michigan State (T57). Oregon earned the NCAA team crown with 67 points, followed by Texas with 38 and LSU with 37.
The NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. The championships will be held March 11-12 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The Big Ten has 23 representatives competiting on the national level, including Illinois' Tamika Robinson, Indiana's Faith Sherrill and Monique Roddick, Iowa's McKenzie Melander and Bethany Praska, Michigan's Rebecca Addison, Alisha Cole, Danielle Tauro and Jillian Smith, Michigan State's Beth Rohl, Minnesota's Samantha Sonnenberg, Ohio State's Christina Manning, Madison McNary,Maggie Mullen and Letecia Wright, Penn State's Shavon Greaves, Caitlin Lane, Doris Anyanwu, Ijeoma Iheoma, Megan Duncan, Purdue's Dani Bunch, and Wisconsin's Dorcas Akinniyi and Monika Jakutyte.

With this weekend's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships taking place on the Texas A&M University's campus in College Station, Texas, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday the weekly update of the NCAA Division I National Team Rankings for indoor track and field. Leading the conference is Michigan, taking the No. 17 spot while the 2011 Big Ten Champions Ohio State follow close behind at No. 18.
