The Big Ten Conference now has a presence on Twitter, the microblogging site that allows for quick distribution of interesting bits of information and allows for easy interaction as well. The conference has several feeds currently, and you can find a description of each feed below.

  • @BigTenConf: This is the conference's main feed, and will have information on all sports at different times.
  • @BigTenChamps: This feed is dedicated to live updates from the various Big Ten Championships and Tournaments that take place during the year. While updates will be less frequent here, there will be more detailed posts while championship events are taking place.
  • @BigTenScott: This feed is maintained by Big Ten Assistant Commissioner for Communications Scott Chipman and will have more detailed updates on football, men's basketball and baseball, along with other general Big Ten observations.
  • @BigTenLaTonya: This feed is maintained by Big Ten Associate Director of Communications LaTonya Sadler and will focus primarily on men's basketball, with occasional items on other sports.
  • @BigTenVal: This feed is maintained by Big Ten Assistant Director of Communications Valerie Todryk and will cover primarily volleyball, women's basketball and baseball.

Be sure to follow the feeds you're interested in and feel free to say hi or ask a question. We'll try to respond when we can, but be aware that we won't pick favorites among our schools and probably won't ever talk about officiating or other controversial topics, but will try to help you out where we can. Be patient though, we're human too, and won't always be online.

The list above contains the only current official Big Ten feeds, and we'll update the list should more be added in the future. For an excellent resource of people talking about the Big Ten on Twitter, check the Big Ten Network's directory of conference-related feeds.
