Through Monday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 24 student-athletes nominated for the conference's Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on BTN's season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Zain Shaito - Ohio State - Fencing
Shaito became the third Buckeye foilist in the last seven seasons to earn gold at the NCAA championships to help Ohio State capture its third national title in program history. The sophomore was named a first-team All-American after capturing a second-team nod in his freshman campaign. He led Ohio States' men's foilists with 35 regular-season wins and earned gold at the Midwest Regional Qualifier. Shaito will represent Lebanon at the 2012 Olympic Games.
