Jesse Owens Male Athlete of the Year Award Nominee -- Steven Kehoe, Ohio State

Through Friday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 22 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on the Big Ten Network’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

STEVEN KEHOE – OHIO STATE – VOLLEYBALL
The Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 NCAA Championship, Kehoe was named a first-team All-American by the AVCA. He was also named the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Year and earned academic honors from the MIVA and the Big Ten. He also took home the Big Ten’s prestigious Medal of Honor, which is given annually to a student in the graduating class of each university that demonstrated proficiency in scholarship and athletics.
