2012 Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Nominee - Wisconsin's Brianna Decker

Brianna Decker is Wisconsin's nominee for the Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year award.

Through Monday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 24 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on BTN’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Brianna Decker – Wisconsin – Ice Hockey
Decker led the nation in goals (37) and tied for the lead in points (82) to guide Wisconsin to a 33-5-2 record and the WHCA regular season championship. The junior won the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as the top player in collegiate women’s hockey and was named first-team AHCA Division I All-American and WHCA Player of the Year. She tallied five game-winning goals and ranked in the top 10 of various national statistical categories. Click HERE for more information on Brianna.
