PARK RIDGE, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced today the new officers of the Council of Presidents/Chancellors (COP/C) for the 2006-07 academic year, effective on July 1.
University of Wisconsin Chancellor John Wiley will chair the COP/C. Ohio State University President Karen Holbrook will serve as the First Vice Chair and University of Minnesota President Robert Bruininks has been named Second Vice Chair. These three individuals also serve as the Executive/Compensation Committee for the Big Ten Conference.
Along with the three university representatives, Big Ten Commissioner James E. Delany is an officer of the COP/C, along with Associate Commissioner Carol Iwaoka, who serves as the Council's Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner Brad Traviolia, who is the Council's Treasurer.
