Big Ten Baseball Opens Non-Conference Play

Big Ten baseball teams begin non-conference action this week as Northwestern will open with four games in Phoenix, Arizona. The Wildcats start their season against Kansas State on Thursday, February 10, before playing a double-header with Missouri and Portland on Saturday, February 12, and then wrapping up their trip against Oregon State on Sunday, February 13. Northwestern will be joined by Penn State in the second week of non-league play, as the Nittany Lions start the year with a pair of games at UNC-Charlotte on February 19 and 20. The Big Ten's remaining eight teams will see their first pitch the week of February 21, including the home opener for Indiana on Tuesday, February 22, and road games for Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue.
