Big Ten Opens College Baseball Season Friday

The 2013 college baseball season opens on Friday with all 11 conference squads taking the diamond. Big Ten teams will face six opponents this weekend that are ranked or receiving votes in the national polls.

Purdue took home the 2012 Big Ten title, and went on the win the Big Ten Tournament and represent the conference in the NCAA Championship. Indiana was picked as the favorite to win the 2013 crown by the Big Ten coaches, followed by Nebraska, Michigan State, Ohio State, Minnesota and Illinois. The conference coaches also selected a preseason Players to Watch List, which can be found by clicking HERE.
