Mee earns his first career award after posting three multi-hit games to help Minnesota open its season 3-0 for the first time since 1998. The senior batted .538 (7-for-13) on the weekend with two RBI and two doubles, reaching base in eight of his 14 plate appearances (.571). Mee's best performance came Friday against UNC-Asheville when he went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the Gophers' 7-5 win.

Heines receives his first career weekly honor after tossing a complete-game shutout against Georgia on Saturday. The senior right-hander allowed just five singles and struck out five as Purdue went on to win, 5-0. The shutout is the first of Heines' Purdue career and the first nine-inning shutout for the Boilermakers since 2002. It also marked the first time in 96 games that the Bulldogs had been held scoreless.
