Pitcher of the Week
Craig Clark, Penn State
Sr., P, Phoenixville, Pa./Spring-Ford
Clark pitched eight strong innings to put Penn State in line for the 3-2 upset victory over North Carolina, ranked No. 1 by Baseball America, on Saturday. The senior allowed just two runs on two hits in the effort, retiring nine in a row at one point late in the game. In his final five innings of work Clark settled down to allow just three total base runners as the Nittany Lions rallied for the 10-inning win. The award is the second of Clark's career as he was also honored on May 1, 2006. This is the second time this season a Penn State pitcher has received the Big Ten weekly award.
