Christian earns his first career weekly award after he was named to the Tony Gwynn Classic All-Tournament team over the weekend. Christian batted .417 (5-for-12) on the weekend with a slugging percentage of .917. The sophomore shortstop hit for the cycle in Michigan's 8-5 win over Oklahoma, belting his first career homer to break a tie in the fourth for what proved to be his first collegiate game-winning hit.

Luebke recorded his 11th career complete game with a 10-1 victory over Western Michigan on Saturday. The lefty allowed just one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts to pick up his second win of the season as his ERA dropped to 1.17. The award is the second of Luebke's career as he was also honored on March 7, 2006.
