Sweet led the Hawkeyes to their first series sweep in 16 years, batting .588 (10-for-17) in four games with a .696 on-base percentage. The junior recorded at least two hits and scored at least twice in each contest, totaling 11 runs on the weekend. Sweet blasted three doubles and equaled his previous season total with three home runs in the series, slugging at a 1.294 clip, as he drove in seven runs in four games. The center fielder was flawless on defense with eight put outs. The award is the second of Sweet's career.

Rose helped Michigan to a four-game sweep over Michigan State on the strength of a .533 batting average (8-for-15) with a double, a triple and a grand slam to total 13 RBI. The senior set Michigan's career stolen bases record (76), swiping four of five on the weekend, and extended his career-best hitting streak to 22 games. The preseason All-American reached base at a .611 average and slugged at a .933 percentage to garner the second weekly honor of his career.

Luebke tossed a nine-inning complete game without allowing an earned run as Ohio State defeated Purdue, 6-2, on Friday. The left-handed junior struck out seven in the contest without issuing a walk as he improves to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play. The award is the third of Luebke's career and his second this season.
