The 2008 Big Ten Baseball Tournament begins Wednesday at the Wilpon Baseball Complex home of Ray Fisher Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich. The tournament opens at 12:05 p.m. as No. 4 Illinois faces No. 5 Ohio State. At 3:35 p.m. ET, No. 3 Penn State will take on No. 6 Indiana.

Michigan earned its third consecutive No. 1 seed and the right to host the tournament for the third straight year after setting a new record for wins in a Big Ten season with a 26-5 conference record. The Wolverines are ranked No. 17 in the nation by Baseball America and boast the conference's Player, Pitcher and Coach of the Year in Nate Recknagel, Zach Putnam and Rich Maloney, respectively.
