9:32 p.m.: A deep single by Michael Stephens followed by an infield hit by Ryan Dew and the Buckeyes are rallying with runners on the corners and no outs in the sixth.

9:24 p.m.: Pete Cappetta keeps the rally alive with a two-out single to center, plating Johnson. 4-1 Illini.

8:03 p.m.: And we're off! Illinois' Bonadonna is first-pitch swinging and pops up Alex Wimmers' offering to start the game.

7:54 p.m.: The head coaches and umpires are meeting at home plate now. We should be on time for an 8 p.m. start. No. 1 Ohio State faces No. 4 Illinois under the lights and in front of a huge crowd at beautiful Huntington Park.
