BIG TEN BASEBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matt Dittman, Illinois
Sr., 1B, Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville
Dittman collects Player of the Week honors after leading Illinois to a share of the Big Ten Championship over the weekend. The first baseman hit a two-run walk-off homer on Saturday, giving the Fighting Illini a 7-5 win and their first conference title since 2005. The senior hit .600 on the weekend and reached base at a .692 clip with a 1.300 slugging percentage to combine for an OPS of 1.992. He also scored two runs in every game over the weekend and drove in at least one in each contest.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Wunderlich takes home his second Pitcher of the Week honor this season after helping Michigan State to a share of its first Big Ten title since 1979. Taking to the mound at McLane Baseball Stadium for the final time in his career on Thursday, the senior threw his first complete-game shutout. The right-hander struck out three and only gave up three hits, not allowing a runner to reach second base. He threw 116 pitches, 76 for strikes, as he picked up his conference-leading ninth win of the season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Greg Greve, Ohio State
RHP, Cleveland, Ohio / Walsh Jesuit
Greve earns the first weekly award of his career after helping Ohio State clinch a spot in the 2011 Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Earning the start in the rubber game of the series on Saturday, the right hander tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing only six hits while striking out five. Over his last two outings, the freshman has thrown 13 scoreless innings, tallying eight strikeouts while scattering nine hits and two walks.
