Illinois Wins 2011 Big Ten Baseball Tournament Championship

Illinois won the 2011 Big Ten Baseball Tournament Championship with a 9-1 win over Michigan State on Saturday. The tournament title is Illinois’ fourth and first since 2000. Corey Kimes tossed a complete game, while Adam Dittman hit his sixth homer of the year, a grand slam in the third. With the win, Illinois earns the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, their first appearance in the tournament since 2000. FULL STORY
