Illinois and Indiana begin NCAA Regional play on Friday, as the Illini head to Nashville, Tenn., and the Hoosiers host competition at Bart Kaufman Stadium in Bloomington, Ind.
This year marks the second consecutive that the Big Ten has had multiple teams in the NCAA Championship bracket. Indiana is the No. 1 seed in its Regional, while Illinois is a No. 3 seed.
Indiana earned the right to host NCAA action after it won its first outright Big Ten Championship since 1932 and third Big Ten Tournament title. The Hoosiers enter the NCAA Championship with a 43-14 overall record. Indiana is making its third NCAA appearance and first since 2009.
Illinois earned an at-large bid into the bracket and begins NCAA play with a 34-18 overall mark. The Illini are in the NCAA Championship for the second time in the last three seasons and 11th overall.
