Indiana Ends Historic Run in College World Series

Indiana fell to Oregon State, 1-0, on Wednesday night, ending its run in the College World Series. Big Ten Pitcher of the Year Aaron Slegers pitched a one-run gem, going eight innings and striking out five, but Oregon State's Matt Boyd earned a four-hit shutout victory.

Indiana Falls to Mississippi State, 5-4, in College World Series

Indiana fell to Mississippi State, 5-4, on Monday night in the College World Series. The Hoosiers will face Oregon State on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET in an elimination game. 


Indiana Blanks Louisville, 2-0, in College World Series

Joey DeNato tossed a complete-game shutout to give Indiana a 2-0 win against Louisville on opening day of the College World Series. DeNato allowed only four hits, as the Hoosiers shutout the Cardinals for the second time this season. The Hoosiers' offense generated seven hits, with Michael Basil and Scott Donley each driving in a run. 

Indiana advances to face Mississippi State on Monday at 8 p.m. ET

Indiana Baseball Advances to College World Series

Indiana earned a spot in the College World Series after completing a two-game sweep of Florida State, defeating the Seminoles, 11-6, on Sunday. The Hoosiers will make their first appearance in the season-ending event, becoming the first Big Ten team since Michigan in 1984 to advance to the College World Series.

Eight Hoosiers had at least one hit in the game, including multi-hit efforts from Michael Basil, Justin Cureton and Scott Donley, while Sam Travis led Indiana with four RBI.

Indiana will face face Louisville on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET

Indiana Takes Down Florida State, 10-9

Indiana survived a thriller in Tallahassee and is now one win away from a trip to Omaha to compete in the College World Series. The Hoosiers captured game one of a best-of-three series at Florida State, topping the Seminoles 10-9 in front of a packed house at Dick Howser Stadium. RECAP

In front of a standing-room only record crowd of 3,214, Indiana Baseball (46-14) advanced to the first NCAA Super Regionals in school history. IU went 3-0 inside Bart Kaufman Field during the NCAA Bloomington Regional. The Hoosiers' 6-1 win over #2-seed Austin Peay (47-15) Sunday night punched Indiana's tickets to next weekend's Super Regionals in Tallahassee versus Florida State. RECAP

Georgia Tech 6, ILLINOIS 3
Georgia Tech scored three runs in the ninth inning to defeat Illinois, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon, ending the Illini's season. Reid Roper led the Illini with three hits, while Jordan Parr drove in two runs. RECAP

Illinois fell to Vanderbilt, 10-4, on Saturday night. The Illini surrendered 17 hits in the loss, moving on to face Georgia Tech in an elimination game.

Indiana took down Austin Peay, 15-6, to advance to the Regional final. Six Hoosiers had two hits in the game, while Michael Basil and Scott Donley both drove in four runs.

Chad Clark hit a two-run home run to cap a four-run bottom of the ninth inning for Indiana and lift the Hoosiers to a 5-4 win against Valparaiso in the first game of the NCAA Bloomington regional on Friday. RECAP

ILLINOIS 6, Georgia Tech 4
Redshirt-junior Jordan Parr belted two home runs and freshman Kevin Duchene set an Illinois school record in No. 3 Illinois' 6-4 win over No. 2 Georgia Tech in the first round of the Nashville Regional. Duchene (9-1) struck out five and allowed three runs over seven quality innings to earn his ninth victory, marking the most wins ever by an Illini freshman. Illinois (35-18) notched its most wins in a season under head coach Dan Hartleb and advanced to the next round of the regional, where they will face host No. 1 Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Illinois and Indiana Begin NCAA Baseball Regional Play

Illinois and Indiana begin the Road to Omaha today in NCAA Regionals. The Illini are the third seed in the Nashville Regional and take on second-seeded Georgia Tech at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN3. The Hoosiers are hosting Regional play for the first time in program history and are the No. 1 seed in Bloomington. Indiana faces fourth-seeded Valparaiso at Bart Kaufman Stadium tonight at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN3.
