Big Ten Baseball Teams Open Non-Conference Play

The 2004 Big Ten baseball season begins this weekend as both Northwestern and Ohio State will be in action starting February 12. The Wildcats are the first Conference team to hit the field as they will play four games in Phoenix, Arizona, beginning with a contest against Pacific on Thursday, February 12. The defending Big Ten Tournament Champion Buckeyes take their first cuts on Friday, February 13, against nationally-ranked Texas, as OSU is scheduled for three games over the weekend in Houston, Texas. Indiana and Penn State will begin their seasons the following week, while the remaining League outfits open their non-conference slates later in February.
