Welcome to the 2009-10 Big Ten men's basketball season. The Big Ten Conference would like to thank those media members who have covered Big Ten basketball over the years and would like to welcome those members new to our conference. This media guide is intended to assist in the media's coverage of Big Ten men's basketball. Those needing additional information should contact the Big Ten Communications office.

Beginning this year, the Big Ten will no longer produce printed versions of its media guides. As media become more reliant upon the internet, it made sense to move the media guide to an online version that can be updated on a more consistent basis. We will now be able to update records more frequently, thereby creating a living document that evolves with the season.  The online portion of the media guide also includes links to current rosters, coaches' bios and statistics which supplement this PDF document. This also allows the conference to contain costs while "going green", saving almost one million pieces of paper. The online men's basketball media guide can be accessed via the conference's website at www.bigten.org.
