Illinois, Ohio State and Purdue Receive Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

Illinois' Demetri McCamey averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 assists while shooting 61 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range last week, helping the Illini to victories over Iowa and Wisconsin. McCamey earned his first double-double of the season and seventh of his career in the win at Iowa, scoring a game-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-5 from behind the arc. Against Wisconsin, the Bellwood, Ill., native had a game-high 21 points, including 14 of Illinois' final 16 points, registering his fifth 20-point game of the season and 22nd of his career. This marks McCamey's first Player of the Week honor of the season. Last Illinois Player of the Week: Demetri McCamey (Feb. 8, 2010) E'Twaun Moore - Purdue Purdue's E'Twaun Moore earns his first weekly honor of the season after averaging 26.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game last week as Purdue went 2-0 in conference play with wins over Michigan and Northwestern. Against Michigan, Moore netted 14 of his 21 points in the second half as Purdue won, 80-57. On Friday against the Wildcats, the senior guard hit five of his first six three-point field goal attempts on the way to tying his career high with 31 points. He finished the game 11-of-20 from the field and 7-of-13 from the arc, setting career highs for makes and attempts from long distance. Last Purdue Player of the Week: JaJuan Johnson (Feb. 15, 2010) Freshman of the Week Ohio State's Jared Sullinger earns Freshman of the Week honors for the seventh time this season. The Columbus, Ohio, native averaged a double-double last week with 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in wins vs. Tennessee-Martin and Indiana. For the week he shot 80 percent from the field and 77 percent from the foul line while grabbing 16 defensive rebounds and four on the offensive end. The 6-9 center also handed out two assists and blocked two shots.
